Methodology
Every number on JustOdds is collected from a bookmaker's public website and shown with the time we collected it. This page explains exactly how — because an odds site you can't audit is just another tipster.
Where prices come from
We collect decimal odds directly from the public websites of licensed South African bookmakers, several times a day, more often close to kickoff. We show prices exactly as collected — never adjusted, never modelled, never "boosted".
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit: a fuller plain-language description of the collection pipeline (scan cadence per tier, how books are paired per competition, how team names are matched conservatively across books) belongs here before launch.
Freshness — no silent staleness
Every price carries the time it was collected. When a price is older than its freshness window it greys out and is marked old; when it is well past the window it is struck through; when a bookmaker stops responding entirely, we say unavailable since a time — we never quietly leave a stale price looking live.
- Matches inside 24 hours: prices refresh roughly every 45 minutes.
- Matches this week: prices refresh every few hours (window 6h).
- Further out: at least daily.
Measured margins
A bookmaker's margin (overround) is how far its prices for one market add up above a fair 100%. For every market where a book prices every outcome, we compute the sum of implied probabilities and average it per book over a rolling 30-day window. Books with too few complete markets are excluded rather than ranked on thin data. Lower margin means better prices for you.
Independence
We list every licensed South African bookmaker we can measure, whether or not they pay us. Rankings come from measured data only. We don't sell tips, we don't take bets, and we never mark a price up or down.
Lorem ipsum: disclosure copy for the (future) affiliate model goes here when it exists — links may earn a commission, commissions never change a ranking.
Corrections
Lorem ipsum: correction policy and a contact address for reporting a wrong price — to be written before public launch.
